Summary0009627: Death by Iron Fence
DescriptionDo you experience Gray visitors from time to time? Do they stand outside your fence and drool, distracting you from enjoying your haven? Well, make your life complete -- just install the newly patented Iron Fence. As soon as a Gray makes contact, it will instantly absorb enough iron to drop it on the spot! No more having to poke every visitor with a pitchfork!*

*Only the first Gray will die instantly, as others are likely to learn from their companion's mistake.

Alright, end of commercial. ^_^ My primary reason for requesting this is that I could use it in the game's opening story, when a few Grays show up during chores, but long before Zombie Mom arrives. It would demonstrate early on that iron is deadly to Grays and that Grays learn from others' mistakes.

It's not something we absolutely need. I actually scripted a Gray dying on the iron gate that the kids eventually open. The only question is, will players expect all gates of that appearance to kill Grays? This becomes more a question of art, since I don't know if we need an alternate one from Heavy Cat.

Well, I've asked them for a specific iron fence that we can just use this one place anyway, then -- thus your existing scripting combined with the new art would solve the problem, sounds like.

The only catch is that future player-designers will assume that BG object is deadly to Grays and will learn otherwise, the hard way. I wonder if we can have an FG Gate that simply kills Grays and stops everything else from passing? Its scripted opening, like the existing BG object, would simply be to remove it.

Okay, I've added this to the list of tiles requested from HC:

wrought iron fence gate tile -- should look almost kind of barbed, as it kills grays who touch it.
