Summary0009914: Remove Carrier Nuclear immunity
DescriptionNukes were supposed to either kill a single wave, or kill all the ships on a (non core or home) planet, at great cost. With carriers immune to nukes, there is little reason to ever use them. Even nuking the SF doesn't work anymore, because a lot of them are in carriers.

That's a good point. It should hit carriers and barracks and everything in them according to the normal immunities of what is inside.

Wow, Chis is still tracking AI war posts and status? It's been a while since we've seen you in a AI War related post that wasn't troubleshooting related.

Anyways, yea, letting the nuke "pass through" the carrier and barracks, killing any non-nuke immune stuff inside seems like a good idea.

I never use nukes because the AIP cost is so high. But if I ever needed it, I'd want it to hit everything. I agree with x4000's suggestion.

damage now carries to targets inside carriers. I never use nukes (for the reasons above), but I would suggest someone who happens to have a carrier around in their save and can quickbuild a nuke do some testing on this.

For the record I really don't think it will do anything, but am terribly curious.

Also.. I kinda thought nukes where just for scenery to be totally honest. you know, like advanced warp sensors and laser gatlings.

Units inside a carrier are not immune to nukes.

I ran some test on 7.056. Lightning warheads mkIII work, armored warheads mkIII work, emp warheads mkIII work, nuclear warhead mkI and III work (did not test the rest but i don't see why they wouldn't work), so at some point in the last 2 years you guys already fixed this issue :)
