Summary0011524: Hotkey to show/hide unit healthbars and repair countdowns without needing to hover
DescriptionI think the game's main view should optionally show repair countdowns for buildings and healthbars for units.

It may make the view less aesthetic and more cluttered, and may overwhelm newcomers, but it's much easier to understand the strategic situation if you don't have to hover to get this information. So there should be a hotkey which toggles the display of this information on and off.

If you implement unit healthbars, the auto-heal amount should also be included in the healthbar (perhaps a different color, or perhaps a small marker where the healthbar will be after one turn of healing).

Either this or permanently visible unit health bars, with building health popping up on building being attacked. Your idea also covers the possibility of a repair-countdown, although it does require an extra keybind.

Edit: actually this idea doesn't cover building healthbars and they couldn't really be present on the toggle switch as it would be an eyesore. So, the idea of a building health pop-up on attack (related idea) seems good to me, possibly also in conjunction with your idea. Actually, another idea, only buildings with damaged health bars could be included in the toggle, which would decrease the visual clutter massively while still allowing you to survey any buildings that are in trouble (but not yet quite in need of repair).

Thanks!

* Buildings that are damaged now show a big health bar, and units that are damaged now show a little health bar.
** This actually adds a surprising amount to the game, because now the damage that units take can be represented this way rather than those stupid popup messages all over the place (although you can toggle them back on if you really like them).
** This also makes it much easier to tell which buildings to repair, etc.
