Summary | 0015647: Strength evaluation overestimates strength of hybrids
Description | The strength computation seems to overestimate the actual utility of Hybrids. This leads to hybrids waiting too long to retreat, getting overconfident on attacks, and other things. For a more concrete example "mere" 14 hybrids (with only meh modules too) was reporting a strength of 4000. For comparison, my army of Mk. I and II fleet ships and MK. I starships numbering at 434 was only at a "mere" strength of 3000 (this was on normal caps). But my army was able to deal with the hybrids easily. Yea, the hybrids did have some decent DPS against my forcefields, but nothing that could threaten my army and infrastructure like a strength of 4000 should imply.

It would be cool if instead of making the strength computation "accurate", maybe instead hybrids could be buffed to actually be worth of the strength the engine ascribes to them, with a corresponding spawn rate decrease. Ala 0008893 |

I agree with tech, even when I cranked hybrids (and advanced hybrids) up to 10, they simply became a garrison for the planet they were defending, and it was not enough to stop us (though me and my friend (who was using only a champ) are quite good at dealing with hybrids). |
