Summary | 0016262: Better crime management/crime cap
Description | I think that crime should have a maximum capacity. I had a save game (but unfortunately deleted it) where I had 2 million crime before I surrendered. Since a single citicen cannot commit an infinite amount of crimes I think the capacity of crimes should be tied to the amount of citizens you have. This would make it also easier to handle crimes. A big problem is, when things start to go wrong, buildings shut down, you loose even more influence/resources and more buildings shut down, leading to the downfall of the city. With a crime cap tied to the population you can at least shift your staff so they fight first the crime before you target other priorities.

Thanks! * Drastically fixed up how the crime for crimes of opportunity and pollution scale up as city populations get very large. The scaling factor was previously very far off, which wasn't apparent back when disease was killing us really fast anyway. |
