Description | Crimes of Opportunity are still too high. I know you've already tweaked it down once, but it is still too much. In the attached save, I have a good amount of police protection. Hit end turn and 3-5k people will die in riots and crime will skyrocket to several hundred thousand. I believe it is caused by a few buildings that I have placed out as forward embassies to the Boarines and Fenyn. but I'm not quite sure. Disabling the Stock Exchanges in the center of my city does calm things down. Perhaps the global Crimes of Opportunity parameters needs to be split into a Crimes of Opportunity (for areas without Police Interference) and a more general crime causing aura similar to how pollution is working. To be honest, I don't understand the underlying crime mechanics, so I'm taking a shot in the dark here. | ||||

Thanks! * Drastically fixed up how the crime for crimes of opportunity and pollution scale up as city populations get very large. The scaling factor was previously very far off, which wasn't apparent back when disease was killing us really fast anyway. |
