I gave the Space Plane in a balance test (before volunteer dev) a 50% reduction to damage taken beyond its range, as a form of dampening from Classic. Not in release. Space Tank I gave in the official version the bonus to thicker hulls like Assault Starships - Same with Needlers. Raiders I made immune to most slows, like Classic. You're free of course to change those with newer things. I wasn't sure what exactly was going on with the procedural generation, though. A note on the Widow: Paralysis isn't used yet I think - nobody has it yet it's on your mechanics documentation page. Multishot (like MLRS), low damage with small paralysis? |

Space Plane: sounds good, I was intending that sort of thing for that ship. Can you add that to the release? Space Tank is a good start, I need another ability in there for it, though. Raiders sound good, though I need to also create a pass-through-forcefield option for them. For the widow, paralysis and multi-shot sounds great! Can you set that up and the space plane, too? base_paralysis_seconds_per_shot (3 is good) added_paralysis_seconds_per_shot_per_mark (1 is good) paralysis_to_ships_mass_tx_less_than (smaller than starships, I'd say) |

I'll try it later on - minds been foggy today, hard to think. If it clears up in a few hours I'll definitely try to get them in. Agreed on the Space Tank - too many units with that ability already. EDIT: I see you've given that bonus vs hull thickness to Pike Turrets and Pike Corvettes. I like the names. Suppose the Corvettes are now doing the Space Tanks job, so yes, need a new thing for those. Procedural traits are put on top of these? |

Puffin, can you add this to the Sentinel Frigate? "Advanced Sensor Suite: Gives Scouting intel on neighbouring planets. (I found the bit of XML code that enables this and it works. Maybe a bit odd, but figure Classic had Sentinel Frigates with their Warp Detection. I hope to possibly put this as a unique seeded structure you can capture. Restrict to larger ships?)" If that doesn't show properly on the GUI after addition, please let me know how you did it, heh. Also I guess scout starships should get this! |

On the Widow - you want this as a separate unit with that weapon, leaving the Spider alone? |

The Frigates now have their sensor ability - except it instantly scouts the whole galaxy. I can still put it in though. I'll see if I can fix that. EDIT: Doesn't seem so...it shows in the ships UI however, so it works just fine other than that galaxy bit. |

For the widow, I'd like that to be on the WidowGuardian alone and leave the spiders alone. For the fleetship spiders, let's not mess with those at all. Cool on the sensors with the ships, thanks for that -- I think I know what that is. I can fix it once you check in that change. |

Checked it in. I ask about the Spider because there's only one of them in the game. Weirdly, it's named Widow in the files, it uses a model called Widow, yet is called Spider and uses Spider effects. I'll make a new one then and bung it in, while correcting the name of that thing (not the display). |

In fleetships, we have: <entity graphicsdone="true" name="Spider" In guardians we have: <entity graphicsdone="true" name="WidowGuardian" We want to change the latter, but not the former. |

I've added it in - I should've been clearer on the Guardians. There was a Spider Guardian unit in there, described as such, named as such, and acts as such, but has the internal name of WidowGuardian, and uses the model of a WidowGuardian. There was no actual, ingame Widow at all. This is what confused me there and meant by "only one of them in the game", meaning only the Spider. It's done now though. EDIT: Rereading it, it...now seems like you wanted the one Guardian in there to become the current Widow, but...I've actually created a new one entirely. By saying leave the Spiders alone I thought you were meaning the Spider Guardian! Woops. |
