Description | Mercenary description says they can be hired X more times, yet they disappear forever from the list. I've waited a while to see if they were on a cooldown, but doesn't seem so. (Marking as "major" since it's the game lying to you about a game mechanic.) Also the mercenary beacons once hacked stay in place, are useless since you can't do anything more with them, and you can't destroy them. They're distracting. | ||||

What groups? Ones like Lobar, Xenophon etc need the Flagship to survive. Can't hire someone if they're dead. Sabre Company, Anvil Securities are two that don't. If they aren't hireable again then definitely bug. |

I only know that I hired Arnaud de Cevole, Xenophon, Kos******** Fortifications and Sabre Company, and none of them were available to hire again. No idea if they died or anything, though I would've expected them to be smart enough to warp out their flagship when on the brink of dying, since they can warp in with ease. Otherwise the description should say "they must survive to be hired again". But that turns what should be a useful reinforcement into a kind of escort mission, and don't we all love escort missions. |

All of those have a Flagship except Sabre, but they're meant to be hireable twice...annoying. Mercs need a redo in general anyway. |
