I'm going to predict that you have a Radeon GPU, and are running the game under Metal. If you have any other GPU, or run it under OpenGL, then it should be fine. There's what seems to be a driver bug with HDR camera layering that affects that one combo of things. Right now all my macs have Nvidia or Intel cards, but I keep considering picking up a Radeon one on eBay. Those things are usually near a thousand dollars, though, sigh. |

Confirmed. Radeon GPU, under Metal. I saw your update yesterday and, as I was planning to play the game on the weekend, I just quickly booted it up on my Mac for a sanity test to ensure I wouldn't be surprised (in a bad way) about the latest round of updates. Sure enough once I re-ran it under OpenGL the issue disappeared. Seems like it's one of those bugs that's really out of your hands to fix. FWIW. It seems to only happen when zooming out on the planet screen to see the wider viewable area. If you zoom in to at least the mid-point of the viewable area of the planet (and then change to and from the map screen), the problem goes away. However anytime you zoom out past this point the issue reappears. As I generally only play on my Mac when on the road, its a no brainer for the weekend as I'll be playing on my Linux/Windows box instead. |

This should be fixed as of a while ago, on metal with radeon cards. I got myself a mac with a radeon card and couldn't duplicate the issue, but in the newer version of unity it should hopefully also be bypassing this problem. |
