Do you have only the integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 or do you also have a Radeon card? |
|
It has been confirmed on discord that the glitch happened with Metal on a Radeon Pro 560. |

Notes from a year ago: This should be something that now has a workaround, as of the latest version that is now out: https://wiki.arcengames.com/index.php?title=AI_War_2:Finalizing_Multiplayer#Color_Grading_And_Visual_Updates Essentially, I would try the following: 1. Disable the GUI Glow in the Post-Processing section of the display settings. 2. If it's still a problem, then disable the Planet View Bloom. 3. If it's STILL a problem (wow), then disable FXAA on the planet view. If it's still a problem after all of those, we have a problem that is just not fixable with your drivers. The best solution is to use a newer version of the drivers if there are any, but Radeon drivers on OSX are notably bad at times. The only solution that was discovered to work around that beyond the above is to use OpenGL, which runs very slowly by comparison. Suggestion: if OpenGL is running slowly, it is a good idea to check your screen resolution. If you are running in Retina resolution on a semi-old machine, then that will just generally not go very well in OpenGL. Dropping to 1090p or 1440p or similar should usually give near-identical visuals to retina, and at the same time give you like 4x the framerate. I can get over 50fps at 1080p on a 2011 MacBook Pro in OpenGL, which is drastically below the minimum requirements for the game. But if you try to do that at higher resolutions, it will go very poorly very fast. |
