Summary | 0003734: Cloaked zombies segue into massive carrier assault | ||||
Description | Knowledge raiding planets when the AI has lots of cloaking ship types available leads to unusual zombie ship behavior. Rather than "aggressive" like normal zombie ships, the cloaked ships neither attack the fleet nor the research stations. Furthermore, they seem to never transition to "threat"-mode and just sit on the planet where they are spawned. At some unknown trigger, the AI "redistributes ships into carriers"x50 and the threat level goes from manageable to a game-ending 150,000 ships. It also seems that more ships are involved in the attack than are dormant on the map beforehand, but I may be miscounting. It seems like the best fix would to make cloaked zombies behave like regular zombies, that is, "bum rush" without thought. |
