Summary0004576: Boss battles: Randomized move and attack patterns
DescriptionOne thing that made AI War and Tidalis really fun was different separate conditions mashed together to make a new challange. I think this approach would work well with the bosses in this game.

For example:
Some of the planets in AI War were really mean and required a lot of thinking before you could conquer it. Those planets had different structures, AI types and ships in them so you had to use different tactics to succeed.

I read somewhere that you are going to randomize the bosses weakness/strength to the different elements. I think this is an great idea, but why stop here? The bosses could also be given a bunch of possible attack/move patterns.

Example:
The red amoebas may be given move patterns like chase, kite etc

They are also given different types of attack patterns like, the area splash, the regular 360 degree shoot, rebounding projectiles etc

The patterns one specific red amoeba will use is choosen randomly from all the patterns the red amoeba can have. This will make each fight more varied even if you fight the same boss type several times.

Sometimes the boss will be easy because the patterns are choosen to your advantage, while on the other hand, sometimes they will be very hard.

I bet both you guys and players already have a lot of great ideas for different types of patterns. Like this one for example: "0004555"

Other things that could be varied is speed, casting time, projectile speed and so on.

Together with different room types, weaknesses, trash mobs and PC spells this will ensure that each boss battle will be much more varied.
