Summary0008867: Hybrids are too weak
DescriptionYea, I'm having a hard time believing that I'm complaining about hybrids being too easy. But they sort of are.

Right now, a single hybrid is balanced sort of like a Mk. I or Mk. II starship, which really lets it down in terms of how much fear they should be inflicting with their Mk. V designation.

Maybe either bump up their stats some (to like a Mk. III or "Mk. 3.5" starship, making them like a Mk. V starship would be a bit harsh), and bump down their spawn rate some to compensate, or make the basic hybrids a lower Mk.

Or alternatively still, leave their stats untouched, but make an individual hybrid less willing to enter a planet, aka. make them build up more (especially low maturity ones) before going on the offense.

Now, this gets a bit more complicated thanks to the modules. However, even a few hybrids with all Mk. III modules goes down pretty quickly from even a good number of Mk. I turrets.

Or possibly make multiple Mks of Hybrids, tieing their Mk. to maturation levels (like a Mk. II hybrid starts a maturation level 1, but can go to 3. A Mk. III hybrid starts a maturation level 3, but can go to 5, or something like this)

Again, if an individual hybrid and/or its modules receive a buff, spawn rates will need to be double checked as well.

Please note, this is mostly about the base stats of the hybrid itself (though the modules could use a little bit of love too). Their behaviour is pretty darn smart. (Except for low maturity ones throwing themselves into well defended planets in low numbers, and then getting themselves killed without much impact)
