Because otherwise you can stomp a HW with just these and cloaker starships.

Alternatively, have the HWs have roving decloaker patrols, or frequent planetwide tachyon pulses.

I disagree that making these particular things cloaking immune is the right answer..

then again, that just might be my prior practices of using them to great effect against homeworlds..

Perhaps a "Core Tachyon Guard Post" to at least delay the inevitable.

Dont they alreayd have core tachyon posts? at least, core tachyon guardians.

I maybe could see them seeded more? I am not really sure. I think its by design that they work how they do, and ive been exploiting it for a long time.... Hit and run style raids with cloaking seemed to be the way to do it most of the time, as brute force never really works against homeworlds.

Honestly I would prefer either of the alternative solutions, because I love abusing this combo. However, balance-wise, I think it is necessary.

Possibly a better idea might be to just have some or all of the guard posts Command grade armor.

Quite a few of the guardposts come with tachyon beams anyway just they're too short a range. Increase the range of the tachyon beams or add them to each core guard post.

In my opinion if you can't cloak the spirecraft rams then there usefulness at anything goes out the window since they're made of paper when it comes to taking damage.

The AI needs more mobile tachyon options but that's a widely known issue.
